Finding a Saved Journal Entry

You can search for journal entries that you've entered or imported.

Note: If you cannot locate the deposit, try the Search All option. For more information, see Searching All Records.

To find a journal entry:
  1. In the Company section of the Brass Jacks Bookkeeper workspace, click Journal Entries. In the Journal Entries dialog box, click Find at the bottom.
    or
    Choose Search > Journal Entries.
  2. In the Search Criteria Selection for Journal Entries dialog box, specify information in the filters at the top of the dialog box.
    You can search for a jounral entry by journal, batch description of batch number, by item amount or by date range
  3. After changing the search criteria, click Find at the bottom of the dialog box.
  4. If necessary, change the search criteria and click Find again.
    To do another search from scratch, click the Clear button and specify new search criteria.
  5. In the list of matching journal entry transactions, to view the information, select the check in the list and click Detail at the bottom of the dialog box.
  6. If you don't find any matches, click Close.
