Viewing Profitability Information

You can view profitability information for all jobs related to a customer or for specific jobs. You view this information from the Jobs tab of the Customer Detail dialog box.

To view profitability information:
  1. From the Brass Jacks Bookkeeper workspace, click the Manage Customers icon.  
  2. In the Customer List dialog box, select the row for the customer.
  3. Click Detail or double-click the row.
  4. In the Customer Detail dialog box, click the Jobs tab.
  5. To view profitability information about all jobs, click the Show Customer Profitability link at the top of the Jobs tab.
    To view profitability information about a specific job, click the Show Profitability link for that job.
  6. In the Job Profitability dialog box for a customer (or job), on the left side, view the income from that customer (job) as line items and as a pie chart.
    By default, you see information from the Income Account. Select Item/Service to view information from item/service records.
  7. On the left side, view the expenses incurred for the various jobs (or single job) as line items and as a pie chart.
    By default, you see information from the Expense Account. Select Vendor/Employee to view information from vendor/employee records.  
  8. At the bottom of the dialog box, review the net profit for this job.
  9. To print this information, click Print.
    The information prints onto two separate pages: one for the Income pane and the other for the Expense pane.
  10. Click Close to return to the Jobs tab of the Customer Detail dialog box.
