How the process works

(more details can be found in the Help file of the Brass Jacks Bookkeeper Quickbooks Importer)

The first step is to create a company in Brass Jacks Bookkeeper that will be the company the imported data will target.

Then you use the import process within Brass Jacks Bookkeeper to create a staging area to import the data to. Brass Jacks Bookkeeper will copy the database to this staging area so it can be imported to. When the Brass Jacks Bookkeeper Quickbooks Importer runs, it will import the Quickbooks data to the database in the staging area. Upon completion of the import process, Brass Jacks Bookkeeper will copy the database back from the staging area back to its original location so you can start using the data from your imported Quickbooks company.

Note that the Brass Jacks Bookkeeper Quickbooks Importer uses a third party tool to provide a connection to Quickbooks. This tool is required to import data from Quickbooks. More information can be found in the Help file of the Brass Jacks Bookkeeper Quickbooks Importer application.
