Viewing the Inventory List

Brass Jacks Bookkeeper helps you track your inventory by letting you know when the quantity on hand for an item is low and by allowing you to create and maintain purchase orders.

The Inventory dialog box, by default, shows the items alphabetically by Item Name. You can click a column's title to re-sort the list based on that column. Clicking a column's title again reverses the sort order.

To view your inventory:
  1. Choose Inventory > Manage Inventory, or click the Manage Inventory icon in the Inventory section of the workspace.  
  2. In the Inventory dialog box, review the list of inventory items. To go directly to a specific item, type the item's name in the scroll to box.
  3. To view or edit an item's details, select the item and click Detail, or double-click the item. In the Inventory Detail dialog box, as needed edit the information and click OK. (For information, see Editing Inventory Items.)
  4. To add an item, click Add. In the Inventory Detail dialog box, enter the necessary information and click OK. (See Adding Inventory Items for details.)
  5. To delete an item, select it and click Delete. In the confirmation message box, click Yes.
  6. Click OK.
