Using To Do’s and Reminders

In the To Do’s & Reminders section of the Company Overview dialog box, Brass Jacks Bookkeeper automatically reminds you of important tasks that you need to complete. The Print Queue To Do’s, Financial To Do’s, Banking To Do’s, and Maintenance To Do’s lists can remind you about a transaction or task you need to perform within the program. When items appear in a list, click an item to perform the specified task.

You can add any type of task to the reminders list at the bottom of the dialog box.

To view To Do’s and reminders:
  1. In the Company section of the task bar on the right, click Company Overview.
  2. Review the tasks in the To Do's & Reminders section at the bottom of the dialog box.
  3. If necessary, in a To Do's section, click a link to perform the task.
  4. Click Close.
To add a reminder about a task:
  1. In the Company section of the task pane on the right, click Company Overview.
  2. In the Company Overview dialog box, click Add.
  3. In the new row, specify the date for this task. (You can type the date or click the arrow button and specify the date in a calendar.)
  4. Type a short description of the task.
  5. To add another task, repeat steps 2-4.
  6. Click Save.
To delete a task that you added:
  1. Select the task's description.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. In the confirmation message box, click Yes.
