Transaction Mapping
Once the field mappings have been set, the next step is to match the transactions in the import file to unreconcilated transactions in the database.

The top portion contains the records on the import file and the bottom section contains the unreconciled records in the database.
Manual Matching
To manually match items, simply click on the item in one list and click it's match in the other list. Then click the Match button. Check marks will appear in the left column indicating a match has been made for this item.
To unmatch an item, click on the matched item in any list and then click the Unmatch button. You can also unmatch everything by clicking the Clear Matches button.
To see what item is matched to another item, click on the matched item in either list and the corresponding match will get highlighted in the other list.
Once you've completed all matches, click Next to
Auto Matching
The auto match feature will attempt to automatically match items based on certain characteristics:
- If amounts are unique
- If the amount and transactio date are unique
- If the check number matches
Auto matching will not occur until you click the Auto Match button.
Auto matching will also consider any "Presets" that have been established (see more about Presets below).
Presets
Presets allow you to set a default vendor and/or transaction type based on values contained within the Description field on the import file.

Clicking the Preset button will open the window above. To add a Preset, click on the Add Preset button in the upper right (to delete a preset, just click on the red 'x' to the right of the preset line in the list)
To create a preset, first enter a text value to look for within the description field of the import file. (note that values entered here are case-sensitive). Now you can select a vendor and or transaction type that relates to the what was entered in the field.
- When assigning a vendor, this will be used when doing an Auto Match in the Transactoin Matching process. So now the auto match process will look for the text within the description and if it finds that text, it will use the assigned vendor to also assist with matching. It will also set the vendor when a transaction needs to be created (next section)
- Specifying a transaction type will automatically set the type of transaction to create when creating transactions in the next section.
Presets are optional. They are just another aid in the import process.
Once all presets have been entered, click OK to return to the Auto Match screen and click the Auto Match button again to match any additional transactions.
Note that presets are associated with the bank account selected and will not be used for other accounts.
