Matching Credit Card Transactions

Reconciling your Bookkeeper transactions with the transactions in a downloaded OFX file doesn’t replace monthly account reconciliation with you regular bank statements. It’s meant to serve as an interim reconciliation so that missed transactions can be added or other transactions adjusted, if necessary.

Matching credit card transactions is very similar to matching bank account transactions. Credit card transactions have only one transaction type, so you can’t filter the lists by transaction type. When you need to add a missing transaction, select Credit Card from the Add Missing Transaction list to open the Bill Payments by Credit/Debit Card dialog box.

Debit card transactions appear in the bank account reconciliation — not the credit card reconciliation. For information, see Matching Transactions.
