Creating Timesheets with the Wizard
With the advanced payroll features you use a wizard to enter timesheet information. You can specify whether these timesheets are for all people paid at the end of a pay cycle or for specific people.
To use the Timesheet Entry Wizard:
- Choose Payroll > Enter Timesheets, or click the Enter Timesheets icon in the Payroll section of the workspace.
- In the wizard on the Create Timesheets step, select For Payroll Cycle and select the payroll cycle. (To see the people in this cycle, click Show People In Cycle and then click Close.)

Select For Employees and Contractors and then select the specific employees or contractors. - Click Next.
- On the Timesheet Entry Summary step, click Enter Time for each person in the list.
- In the Timesheet Detail for xxx dialog box, provide the information for the specific person and click OK. (For details, see Entering Timesheet Information.)
- Repeat steps 4-5 for each person listed on the Timesheet Entry Summary step.
- Click Create Timesheets.
