Resetting the Last Check Number

The highest check number you entered when setting up your bank account represents the last check in your current box of checks. With Brass Jacks Bookkeeper you cannot 'write' a check that has a number higher than the highest check number. When you order new checks, you must update the last check number.

To reset the highest check number:

1. Choose Banking > Set Highest Check Numbers.
2. In the Check Reordering dialog box, change the value in the High Check Number box for the account you want to change.
3. Click OK.
