Deleting a Company

You can delete any company set up in Brass Jacks Bookkeeper — including any sample companies. You can’t delete the currently open company. To delete the currently open company, open a different company first.

When you delete a company, Brass Jacks Bookkeeper removes the company file with the name and all the information entered for that company.

To delete a company:

1. Choose Company > Delete Company.
2. In the Delete Company dialog box, select the company to delete.
3. Click Delete.
4. In the confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
5. In the Password For Company Delete dialog box, type the unrestricted password for that company.
   (This is a precautionary step to prevent unauthorized deletion of company information.)
6. Click OK.
7. In the message box, click OK.
8. In the Delete Company dialog box, click Close.
