Adding Inactive Accounts to the Chart of Accounts
Brass Jacks Bookkeeper has several inactive accounts available that can be activated and added to your Chart of Accounts.
Brass Jacks Bookkeeper automatically adds your state’s withholding tax to your Chart of Accounts. If you’re processing payroll that includes withholding taxes for other states, you need to add them.
To activate an inactive account:
- Choose Accounting > Activate Account.
- In the Add Selectable Accounts dialog box, to view only non-tax related accounts, clear the Include tax accounts check box.
- Select the account(s) you want to activate from the list.
To select a range of accounts, select the first account you want, press Shift, and then select the last account in the range. To select multiple, individual accounts, press Ctrl as you select each account. - Click OK.
